Dramatherapy Cumbria

Healing through creativity

What is Dramatherapy?

There are four Arts Therapies in the UK (art, drama, music, dance and movement). They are all forms of psychotherapy that use creative methods to help explore issues safely and deeply. Arts Therapists undergo extensive training and work within an ethical framework of practice. Click to find out more.

What We Offer

Individual one to one therapy to adults, individual one to one therapy for children and teenagers and specialist consultation/training for schools or groups working with vulnerable children and teenagers.  Click to find out more.

Who is Dramatherapy for?

Anyone can access Dramatherapy. You do not need to have previous experience of drama, or even be interested in it. The creative methods I use are there to help facilitate a process that feels right for you and my approach will be tailored around how you wish to work as an individual.

About me

I did my training at Derby University, graduating with a distiction (MA in Dramatherapy) in 2011. I have nearly ten years experience working with both adults and children with a wide range of issues in a variety of settings.

Covid-19 Update

This is a time of stress, anxiety and grief for many people.  It is important at this time that support takes place on line and by telephone, so that these issues can be shared and processed and so we all stay safe. Please see this link for further information.
